Activities
In the 1800's, these served as neutral ground where men of all tribes would come together in peace. Today you will find the same thing! Visitors from all over the world come to the pools to rest, soak, and enjoy the scenery.
The Portneuf River (approx. $5 for half day tube rental)
Take a nice float down the little river that runs through the town of Lava Hot Springs. Several rental shops in town offer tubes that seat anywhere from one to four people. Within an hour, you can float the river twice. Be sure to bring water shoes to protect feet, and prepare for an adventure!
The Olympic Swimming Complex ($7 per adult per day)
This facility in Lava Hot Springs just keeps getting better! In 2009, steep speed slides were added to the mix of platforms, diving boards, swirly slides, rock wall, and large pools. Enjoy the spacious shallow area where young ones can play for hours. Family discount rate on Mondays-Thursdays.
Accommodation options:
There are a number of motels in the small town, but the most logical spot seems to be the KOA Campground. It has both tent and RV camping, plus several cabins for those that don't want to rough it. Showers, laundry room, and wifi. There is a group pavilion with outdoor kitchen, too.

The cabins are $55-90 per night and sleep 4.
Tent sites are $38, but there is a group site, too that we could probably reserve.
